Youth Mobilization Across Maharashtra as an Organizing Secretary in Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) during 1994-97
I joined ABVP in 1981. In 1985, got an opportunity to arrange Yuva Sankalp Abhiyan and mobilize 10000 youth across Jalgaon District for ABVP. The agenda was spcial equity and rural development. It was one of its kind mobilization in ABVP across Maharashtra. When I got responsibility to lead as Organizing Secretary in ABVP, I travelled across Maharashtra and conducted forums at every block level. Visited each and every college and interacted with more than five lakh students across Maharashtra. As a result of this, we managed to mobilize one of the largest student agitations in Mumbai. More than one lakh students were mobilized across Maharashtra. It was most successful and biggest youth mobilization in the history of ABVP. The purpose of was to reconstruct through multi-dimensional and multifarious activities as a nationwide student organization, touching every aspect of the societal spectrum. Throughout the tenure, I continuously fought for comprehensive educational reforms.
